Sisters

I had a joyous time photographing these goofy sisters. Their family is dear to my heart, and so this shoot was rather fun. Each girl has such a unique personality. Each and everyone has their own, adorable style.

Susannah is the youngest, and boy what a girl. She has such a spunky, out going personality. You find her laughing out loud at the silliest things, and interjecting the most hilarious comments.

Jessica is the second oldest girl. She is such a lovely girl inside and out. She is, you could say, a bit more refined than her other sisters, yet she never stops to amaze me with her very outgoing sense of style.

Bekah is the second youngest of the girls. Goodness, I could go on and on talking about her. One thing that really sticks out about Bekah is her confident personality. She has her likes and dislikes, but she doesn't just go with the flow. She is confident in herself as a person and does not need to depend on her peers for confidence. I love her. :) She is spunky, opinionated, and ridiculously predictable {in a good way}. She is most certainly a one-of-a-kind, and I am very thankful to call her my friend.

And then there is Bethany, who is the oldest of the girls. She also has a spunky personality and a very unique and adorable sense of style, as you can see. Although I do not know her as well as I would like, from what I do know I like. :)

A little Family History

My family has three Direct connections to the Revolutionary War. Only on my mom's side though.

I, as well as my sisters, mom and grandma are daughters of Liberty.

Mom's side [Maupin]:

Gabriel Maupin, of noble birth, was forced to leave France in the 17th century to avoid persecution. Whole colonies of these Frenchmen gathered in Virginia and the Carolinas. The Coat of Arms is a unicorn, helmet, shield with three pine cones on red in the background. The red background means valor and the helmet was military rank......Anyway Gabriel I left France before 1700 and went to England. He married Marie Spencer (lady) of England and had son Gabriel II. The second son Daniel (our line) was born in England before 1700. Also a daughter Mary.. They came to Yorktown, Virginia in 1700 then to near Williamsburg. The place was known as Maupin's Store, Virginia. They operated a tavern and saddlery, thus the name Maupin's Store. I believe the old Tavern has been restored and incorporated into Colonial Williamsburg. He was also keeper of the Powder Magazine as was sons Gabriel II and III the last one during the American Revolution.

We have a family burial plot on the grounds of Bruton-parish Church in Williamsburg, VA. I have been there before.

Maupin also married a custis and so we have a Custis tenant in Williamsburg.

I took some picture of marshmallows for my photography class, and my little bro pleaded with me to have one. I relented, only on one condition: I would take pictures of him.
Well, they turned out kinda funny.
